Hey Everyone!  It’s that time of year again…..time to participate with us in the New England Rugged Maniac race.  If you were following us last year, you know what a blast Mark & I had doing it and as you can see below, Ava, Danielle & Becky participated in this year’s Brooklyn race.

If you’re not familiar with the Rugged Maniac, it’s a very doable 5k obstacle course mud run.  There are participants of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels.  It’s fun, challenging and rewarding all at the same time.

My favorite part of the race is watching the racers help each other through the various obstacles.  Strangers helping strangers to succeed by encouraging them and even assisting to hoist them over the more difficult obstacles.   It’s such a sense of camaraderie, that it propels you through the race.

Let’s not forget beer and food at the end and your chance to cheer on the racers behind you from the sidelines.  So much fun!

This year’s New England Race is scheduled for September 28 & 29th in Southwick, MA.  We’re racing at a team this time, The Fit Girls Dish, of course.  We’re going to participate in the Sunday race, in the 1:00pm start time. Registration is $88.00.  You can register online at the link below.  When you fill out your registration form, be sure to put The Fit Girls Dish in the team name section and choose the 1:00pm start time.

Make sure you let us know if you sign up.  We’re going to have team t-shirts for everyone, so be sure to leave your t-shirt size when you let us know you’re registered in the comment section below.

I’m in Orange, CT and it’s about 1 hour and a half from here.  You should be there at least an hour before the race time to sign in and get your t-shirts and race number.   If you need a ride or want to carpool, let us know!

We’ll be outta here by 10:00am, just in case :)

The amazing folks at Rugged Maniac have given us 2 free race codes for our readers.  Be sure to tell us why you want to win the entry.  We’ll choose a winner next Monday.

Good Luck!  We hope to see you there!
