  • 1 cup ice

Good Morning!  If you follow us on social media, you know that Mark surprised me yesterday with messages and a day by the salt water pool at a nearby spa.  Blah, I so wasn’t ready to don my bikini!

Well, no sense of dwelling on the negative!  It’s time for action.  I had a super clean dinner and awoke to have this delicious and quite satisfying smoothie.  The nice thing is that it took 2 minutes and all I had to clean was the Vitamix.  Another bonus is that I can have it in my car on the way to work.  Talk about fast food!

With ingredients like oatmeal, flax seed and bee pollen, it keeps you full for hours to come.  Not to mention cleans out your colon :) This will be my breakfast staple for the next few weeks.  I’ll just swap out the protein powder flavor and fruit to keep it interesting.  I was eyeing the fresh cherries in my fridge for tomorrow.

* If you don’t currently include bee pollen in your diet, you should.  It helps aid in digestion, increases energy levels, contains more amino acids than eggs and is more rich in protein than any animal source.

Combine all the ingredients in a Vitamix or blender until smooth.  If using a Vitamix, start off on the lowest setting working your way up to the highest.  Remember, stop blending when smooth or you’ll wind up heating it up with the powerful blades.

I hope you like it.  Let me know how it makes you feel and how long it keeps you satiated.

Steph
