Hey all! So I finally bit the bullet (no pun intended) and purchased the NutriBullet.  By that I mean: I mentioned to my mom that I wanted one and VOILA: I own one.  My previous blender, the Magic Bullet, sh*t the bed and with warm weather coming up, I knew I needed a way to make smoothies and juices!  I’ve had a few friends tell me how much they love it, and now I’ve finally opened mine and try to use it once a day!

What sold me in this Nutribullet is that it extracts, which means you get the “most out of your food”.  Fruits & veggies do not lose their essential nutrients this way.  Another selling point: it breaks down nuts and seeds! You can throw carrots, cashews, or pumpkin seeds into that sucker and they will transformed to liquid in under 30 seconds.

This blender is SO simple for the girl on the go (hello, is that not all of us?), and comes with water-bottle style To-Go cups in a few different sizes.  I used to use my Magic Bullet for anything from fruit smoothies to blueberry purees for pancakes, so the fact that this one can make even more nutrient-dense juices is fantastic.

This is how it works:

Scour your fridge, find 50% fruits, 50% veggies, add a “boost”, fill water to the max line, blend for 20 seconds and BOOM – you’re out the door.

Some favorite combos:

2 Cups Kale

1/2 Avocado

1 Banana

Goji Powder/Maca Powder

1 tbsp Hemp seeds


2 Cups Spinach

1 Cored Apple

1 Cup blueberries

1/8 cup Almonds

You can literally just work with whatever you have in the house!

Or in this case, the Avo Saver.  Of course my mom would find something like this..it’s the perfect way to store avocados without them browning as we should only be having 1/2 an avocado at a time!

The Nutribullet is super affordable compared to its competition (under $100 at Target, Costco, etc), and I recommend it for all of you busy bees trying to keep it healthy!
