• 2 Cups Oats
  • 1 Scoop Protein Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 3 Tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 3 Packets Stevia
  • 2 Bananas
  • 3/4 Cup Almond Milk

Hello there! So some of you have been asking for a holiday “treat” that wouldn’t bust the waistline, and these my friends, are it! Essentially the same recipe as our Hurricane Sandy Muffins , but in cookie form, these are a great treat to munch on while you’re wrapping your presents, watching a Christmas movie, or do as we did and bake as you put some more touches (still work in progress) on your tree and got ready for a holiday party.

Start by combining 2 Cup oats, 1 Scoop Protein Powder, 1 tbsp Chia seeds and 3 tbsp all natural peanut butter.

Add 2 bananas and mash them.  Add almond milk while you whisk ingredients until you get the right texture (you know I’m a free pourer when it comes to milk).  Add 3 packets of Stevia or your favorite natural sweetener.  I’ve made this recipe without any added sugar thinking the bananas would be sweet enough, but come on, we still want a cookie to taste sweet like a darn cookie.

*I made these at home on a whim, but had I gone out to shop I would have picked up raisins and chopped walnuts.  Add your favorite ingredients to make them even more delicious!

Use your hands to make proper portions and arrange on a non-stick cookie sheet.  For a TREAT, add Hershey’s kisses to the top.  For a post-workout snack or just a little pick-me-up to keep in zip-loc bags in your purse, forgo the chocolate!

Bake at 400 degrees for 10- 12 minutes (not 15 or you will get burnt Hershey’s kisses like me! I’m 100% new to baking) and take out to cool.

This is a great way to get your chocolate fix in without the guilt involved :)  Bananas, oatmeal, raisins and chocolate combined into one cookie? Ahhhh that sounds ideal.  Enjoy!
