Alllllright, people! I’m coming to you from an amazing weekend in Miami..an amazing and very WARM weekend.  You’ve seen my posts on Facebook and Instagram, and now it’s time to focus on a restaurant review at a fabulous restaurant on Lincoln Road, Meat Market.

This fantastic dinner was much needed after a few less-than-great meals earlier in our weekend.  On Friday night, Andrew (the boo) was trying to make sure I had my fish fix, so we made reservations at Grill Fish.  SO DISAPPOINTING! We both had been to Miami quite a few times before, and while I had never been to Grill Fish, Andrew had.  Let me tell you, it may have been good the last time he went, but that was not the case this time! I would imagine this is due to a change in chefs, but the bread was cold and the sea bass was mediocre at best.  After that dinner I said “Babe, you know I’m the foodie – let me handle the dinner reservations from now on!” He had no issue.

So, after some light research I came across a few restaurants that were New Yorker-approved – unfortunately the first few I called were fully booked, but Meat Market had some outdoor availability!

Sexy decor inside and out, extremely knowledgable waitstaff, delicious cocktail menu..we were off to a good start.  Oh yeah, and the fact that there were amazing West Coast oysters as part of the night’s special.  Mmmmm.  We were also given delicious warmed bread and wasabi peas before our meal.

I pretty much wanted everything on the menu..but we were able to make some decisions.

For me:

Drink: Ketel One, muddled mint & cucumber (mmmm)

App: 4 Assorted West Coast oysters

Entree: Wood Grilled Blackened Local Snapper

- celery root puree, chorizo, wilted arugula olives, jalapeño vinagrette herb salad

Side: Crispy Brussels Sprouts w/ Almonds

*FANTASTIC*

For him:

To drink: Amstel Light

Entree: 16 oz. Prime Ribeye – he was in heaven and I had a bite that was incredible.

Side: Gratinee of Mac and Cheese

 I’m getting hungry just reliving these pictures!

We hit the Skip button on dessert as we had a hot date planned with a tall cocktail at the Delano hotel, but I’m sure those desserts were delicious as well.
