Have you ever rented a house on the beach or stayed in a place that was a nice little beachy town?   The smell of the salt air, people running, jogging, walking.  There’s always that one little place to eat that knocks it out of the park and if you didn’t live in this 6 block radius, you would never know its there.

Lucky for us, we found one!  As I’m sure you all know, we took the plunge and moved to the beach in July.  I won’t go on about my boringly busy life, I’ll just say, it doesn’t leave much time for date nights.  Like most couples, you come home tired, have a date planned and as soon as you both get home you look at each other and decide, eh let’s just stay in.

Enter Seabreeze.  A quaint little restaurant on the corner at the end of our street.  Could it be any easier?  Of course our ordering started as a pickup with the tradition fare of the ” I have nothing to eat, moving pizza”.  But wait, they stick a menu in our pizza box and we see they’re got so much more to offer!  We need to go in there.

Chloe was first to try it out and said, we have to go in and get the burrata special.  Oh yeah, I’m all about the cheese.  The next Friday night, Mark and I make a 7:30 reservation.  Ah yes, you need to have a reservation at this place.  It’s small and personal, but don’t even think of walking in unless it’s well before or after dinner time.

The food and the service were so awesome, we made a standing Friday reservation at 7:30.  Back to my earlier comment about canceling date night.  We solved that problem.  How do you cancel when all you have to do is walk 2 blocks?  It leaves no excuses.  Plus we have our own special table now on the deck :)

The service is excellent, the food is superb and it’s B.Y.O.B, does it get any better?  I think not.  $5.00 one time corkage fee no matter how many bottles you open.  Nice.

You can definitely get light, healthy fare here.  The salads are awesome and can be topped with any protein you like and pile on the veg, I ask for everything but the kitchen sink!  I can’t resist the burrata special app, but it’s oh so worth it.

We’ve tried most of what’s on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything.  You can tell everything is made with the freshest ingredients.  The menu is a nice size with great daily specials.  If you go too late, you’ll probably find they’re out of most things, but there’s always something good available.  They’re closed Monday’s and Tuesday.  They open at 5:00 every other day and close between 8:30 and 10:00 depending on the day.  I believe they also close for the winter during January & February.

Here are some of our favorites:

Of course the burrata special on cheesy garlic toast with burrata and truffle oil drizzle.  Hey all good things come from somewhere, I wish I made it up, but I’m sure glad I found it! And, I think ours is prettier, just sayin’
