This weekend, your girl was on a mission.  A West Village, pizza, outdoor seating & wine kind of mission.  Luckily, this ended up  being very much in the cards for me! The weather was fiiiinally beautiful enough to wander around and enjoy the city.  So, that’s exactly what we did.

After a subway ride, our first stop was Olio e Piu, a fantastic restaurant with the most beautiful atmosphere and the most mouth-watering pizza I’d seen in a long time.  I first learned about this spot through a friend Ivana’s Instagram, and have been counting down the days to go ever since.  The menu looks so amazing, and I can’t wait to come here multiple times throughout the summer to try out every dang thing on the menu.

The bustle of WeVill.

We came at the tail-end of lunch, when it became a bit chillier and the outdoor seating wasn’t as busy as I assume it was earlier in the day.  Didn’t stop me from sitting outside, that’s for sure.

Gorgeous.

My glass of cote de Provence was juuuuust what the doctor ordered.

Ooofff, this pizza though..  It did not disappoint. Tommy went with the white pizza, although I would expect nothing less from the cheese king himself.

My pizza was loaded with eggplant, mozzarella, onions and mushrooms.  Mmmm, mm.   I probably could have ordered something else to accompany it, but I’m trying this new thing where I eat to where I’m comfortable and not to wear I want to moan and roll around on the ground.  Doesn’t mean I didn’t finish every last bite of my pizza!

After pizza, we walked around for a good hour all over downtown Manhattan before getting in touch with Lindsey and Ray.

We met up with them for some drinks at Rogue & Canon before heading back uptown and relaxing the rest of the night.

Sunday, being even more gorgeous than Saturday, called for an afternoon at Central Park.  I picked up some sandwiches at the deli, and we were on our merry way.

Tommy – “Are you taking pictures of your knees?”

Vitamin D, baby.  Oh so necessary after the long, harsh winter.

It was a few hours of reading, relaxing and people-watching before grabbing some unphotographed Fro-Yo on the walk home.

The day may or may not have ended like this..

Me reading, and him playing Call of Duty.  Haha.  Grown-up activites.

All in all, a great NYC weekend! Hope you guys enjoyed yours as well :)
